Dvorak who is working on a new collection of essays and a new CD release is excited to be back on the road in the wake COVID pandemic.

“I feel like at this stage of the game,” said the singer, “I’m doing my best work.”

“Like every other musician, I’ve had some time on my hands,” he said. “I decided to use the time to go back through my notes and notebooks to see what was in there, and what I might be able to come up with. I’ve been writing and recording for the last nine months, and attending to projects I didn’t have time to dig into before the pandemic.”

Dvorak’s upcoming book, 31 Winters, reflects on his long teaching career at Chicago's Old Town School of Folk Music and is due out later this year. Live & Alone will be his 19th recorded release, and is a set recorded in an empty concert for a live WFMT 98.7 fm broadcast.
