Seventh White Oak Festival in Dodgeville August 7 - 9
DODGEVILLE WI - The White Oak Savanna and Sancturary, 4352 State Road 23, presents the 6th White Oak Folk Festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 7, 8 and 9. The family-friendly event annually presents main stage concerts, dancing, workshops, jam sessions, yoga, food, camping and activities for young folks.
Chicago’s legendary bluegrass ensemble the Henhouse Prowlers headline the event, along with Jali Kunda, preserving the musical heritage of Senegal and fMidwest folk troubadour Mark Dvorak.
The old-timey string band Buds and Shoots will also perform, as will the singer songwriting duo of Jenny and Robin Bienemann. Victoria Storm will make her White Oak debut and acoustic virtuoso Chris Walz will return, celebrating the release of his latest CD, All I Got snd Gone.
Jonas Friddle will be featured again at the 2026 event, as will Chicago's classic country band Wild Western Avenue. Green Eggs & Sam is a lively string band quarter whose roots harken back to the legendary Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago.
Honky-tonk and country singer songwriter Trevor McSpadden makes his first White Oak appearance as does Missouri fiddler and multi-instrumentalist Adam Sperber. The duo Van Orman and Helwin, Rafael E. Vera and Jodee Lewis will also perform.
The White Oak Savanna Sanctuary programs and mission promotes conservation through education and connection with nature, art and community.
“We believe that engaging people from broad backgrounds and perspectives is as essential to community growth as biodiverstiy is to the health of the land,” said Paul Gaynor, proprietor of the Savanna Sanctuary and festival director. “We’re thrilled each year to present a diverse and talented lineup of artists and activities. Our program this year promises to be the most creative and exciting to date.
