YOUTH GUITAR with Jason McInnes. Children ages 7 and above will work on fingering chords, strumming & making great music together. Students should bring a playable instrument & a nut-free snack. $25 • Email Jason with questions • Enroll through Brown Paper Tickets.
GUITAR BASICS with Maura Lally. Adults will enjoy learning their first chords and strums or brushing up on basic technique. Bring along your playable instrument. $25 • Email Maura with questions • Enroll through Brown Paper Tickets.
5-STRING BANJO BASICS with Peggy Browning. Adults will enjoy learning first position chords and picking out simple melodies to some great banjo tunes. Bring a playable instrument. $25 • Email Peggy with questions • Enroll through Brown Paper Tickets.
FIDDLE REPERTOIRE with Mark Mitchell. Adults who are already bowing will enjoy improving their technique and working up a handful of fiddle tune favorites. Bring your playable instrument. $25 • Email Mark with questions • Enroll through Brown Paper Tickets.
FINGER PICKING GUITAR BASICS with Mark Dvorak. Adults who can change chords comfortably will explore the art of finger picking accompaniment and beginning to play a simple melody. Bring along your playable instrument. $25 • Email Mark with questions • Enroll through Brown Paper Tickets.
SECOND HALF 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm • Join faculty, students from all classes and friends for a one-of-a-kind sing along & jam session. All welcome! FREE.
Afternoon 1:00 pm - 2:20 pm • Saturday, September 30
IMPROVISE & SOLO with Jason McInnes. Players of all acoustic instruments will explore the basics of creating an instrumental solo and improvising in a group setting. Get more out of your playing! CELEBRATING TRADTION with Peggy Browning & Maura Lally. Adults will enjoy participating in this acclaimed ensemble class. For players of all acoustic instruments who like to sing along. Bring your playable instrument. $25 • Email Peggy with questions • Enroll through Brown Paper Tickets.

Jason McInnes is an Old Town School of Folk Music Distingusihed Teaching Artist & Director of the Young Stracke All-Stars, an all-youth acoustic ensemble that has performed throughout the Chicagoland area. 
Maura Lally & Peggy Browning are members of The Pickin’ Bubs, an all-acoustic Americana trio, and each has been on faculty at the Old Town School for 10 years. They are singer songwriters and multi-insturmentalists. The Bubs have to date recorded 4 CDs.
