Chicago folk artist Dvorak in Batesville for concert and workshop June 29

BATESVILLE IN - Chicago’s “official” troubadour Mark Dvorak will perform in concert at the Batesville Memorial Library, 131 N. Walnut Street on Saturday, June 29 at 7:00 pm. Dvorak who is a Distinguished Teaching Artist at Chicago’s Old Town School of Folk Music will also lead an all welcome folk jam and sing along at the library from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm.

“Whenever I hear Mark perform,” said Michael Kruse, Batesville Memorial Library director,“ I am reminded of the beauty and power of music. We’re thrilled that he will be joining us again this summer.”

Thursday Night Out features folk artists and sing along June 13

OAK PARK IL - The streets of downtown Oak Park will ring with the sounds of folk and acoustic music on Thursday, June 13 from 5:00 - 9:00 pm. Music & Potlucks, a community organization based in the Oak Park River Forest area, is partnering with Downtown Oak Park to present a special “Folk Park” evening for the popular Thursday Night Out series which runs from May 30 through August 29. The event takes place at 119 N. Marion Street.
