"Acoustic Neighbors is now in its third year,” said folk singer songwriter Mark Dvorak, who hosts the program.

“We began presenting our friends live stream during the dark days of the pandemic. We wanted to create an ongoing event to connect with our neighbors across the country and keep the Music & Potlucks’ mission on track. We missed listening to each other. We missed the music."

The Oak Park River Forest area based Music & Potlucks has presented more than 120 live and live stream events since March of 2017 and has raised thousands of dollars for agencies who serve those need: Helping Hand, Share Food Share Love Food Pantry, Housing Forward, Beyond Hunger Food Pantry, the West Suburban Community Pantry, the Frank Hamilton School, the Old Town School of Folk Music Employee Support Fund and many others.

The event is free, but those attending must register to receive the ZOOM.us link. Register at www.musicandpotlucks.org. Donations to Music & Potlucks will be accepted.
